Friends of Santa Cruz County Animals

The Friends of Santa Cruz County Animals is a nonprofit 501C3 organization formed in 2003 by concerned citizens whose mission is to support the challenging work of the Santa Cruz County Animal Services.

This mission is carried out through education, fundraising, and the establishment of programs intended to benefit the animals in the care of SCCAS by providing "extras" which may not be available in the county budget.

Our focus during the last two years has been the implementation of the John S. Strauss Spay/Neuter program. During this time period we funded the spaying or neutering of over 1800 animals belonging to low-income residents of Santa Cruz County. Our goal for 2009 is to increase the number of animals participating in this program per month. Fundraising is extremely important to the accomplishment of this goal. If you can help fund the continuation of this important program with any amount, we would be extremely grateful!! Please use the donation button at the left for a PayPal donation.
